Over 30 protestors waiving IMPEACH KAVANAUGH signs greeted two thousand partiers at a gala sponsored by the Federalist Society on Thursday, November 14. Kavanaugh was the keynote speaker.
Sponsored by the Center for Popular Democracy and Demand Justice, they explained why Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh should be removed from the Supreme Court for lying under oath at his confirmation hearing over a year ago.
In the background, the voice of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford could be heard coming from a large video screen. It replayed her Senate testimony at Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing accusing him of sexual assault.
The gala was held in the main hall of DC’s Union Station. There were about four men for every woman standing in the line outside Union Station waiting to get in. It was a cold hour’s wait in black tie and evening dresses.
At the eastern end of Union Station a dozen Handmaidens waited to greet those in the VIP line.
It was a shorter line.
A line of cops — Amtrack Police and Homeland Security Police — made sure the protestors didn’t get too close.
There were about four women for every man protesting Kavanaugh.
