Public Seminar is the online publication of The New School. Each week, the magazine brings intellectual debate, academic research, and new writing to an international audience.
Public Seminar is pleased to offer student editor positions in the Fall 2026 Editorial Lab class (GPUB 6993, 3 credits). The class is a fast-paced practicum, suitable for students committed to developing their editorial skills at a professional level. Working closely with editor Natasha Lennard, students will assist in the production of the magazine. Alongside learning how to pitch, copyedit, edit, publish, and promote online content, students will be invited to write articles for Public Seminar.
Applications are now open. Graduate students currently enrolled at The New School are eligible to apply.
Applications should submit a letter of interest, a CV, and the name of a faculty reference to lennardn@newschool.edu and publicseminar@newschool.edu. The deadline for applications is April 22, 2026.
