Public Seminar is pleased to offer credit-bearing scholarships to 3 students with a demonstrated interest in publishing who wish to enroll in the Fall 2025 Public Seminar Editorial Lab (GPUB 6993, 3 credits). The scholarship covers the cost of the course credits. Graduate and advanced undergraduate students currently enrolled at The New School are eligible to apply.
The Editorial Lab is a fast-paced practicum, suitable for students committed to developing their editorial skills at a professional level. Working closely with senior editor Evangeline Riddiford Graham and executive editor James E. Miller, students will assist in the production of the magazine. Alongside learning how to pitch, copyedit, edit, publish, and promote online content, students will be invited to write articles for Public Seminar.
Applications should submit a letter of interest, a CV, and the name of a faculty reference to millerje@newschool.edu. The deadline for applications is April 3, 2025.
Finalists will be interviewed, via Zoom, by members of the Public Seminar team.
